I. PURPOSE
Support and strengthen occupational safety and health (OSH) initiatives by ensuring compliance, managing risks, and promoting a strong safety culture across the organization.
II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement, and update safety policies in compliance with DOLE OSH standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and enforce hazard control measures, including emergency response planning.
- Lead safety training, awareness programs, and proper use of PPE for employees and stakeholders.
- Manage incident reporting and investigation, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
- Perform safety audits, monitor performance metrics, and maintain accurate documentation of safety activities.
- Coordinate with management, project teams, and regulatory bodies to ensure safety integration and compliance.
- Promote workplace health and wellness programs, including ergonomics, exposure control, and mental health initiatives.
III. QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or related field; DOLE-accredited Safety Officer (SO4) required.
- 2–5 years of relevant OSH experience with exposure to risk assessment, incident investigation, and audits.
- Strong knowledge of OSH standards, emergency preparedness, and safety compliance.
- Effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with high accountability.
- Willing to conduct site work, respond to emergencies, and travel as needed; proficient in MS Office and safety tools.
