II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Database Administration
- Administer and maintain database platforms, including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Ensure database security, access control, and compliance with company policies and ISO standards.
- Monitor database performance and implement optimization and tuning strategies.
- Manage database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) processes.
- Support change management activities, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.
- Maintain database documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to support business and technical objectives.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior team members when required.
III. QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5–8 years of database administration experience, including senior-level responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of database security, performance tuning, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Experience working in ISO-compliant environments is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Database installation, configuration, administration, tuning, and troubleshooting.
- SQL query optimization and performance tuning.
- Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
- High availability, clustering, and replication technologies.
IV. WORKING CONDITIONS
- May be required to work beyond normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet project deadlines, perform maintenance activities, or address critical production incidents and urgent business requirements.
- May participate in on-call support rotations for critical database systems and infrastructure.
