PURPOSE
- Design, implement, secure, and maintain enterprise database systems.
- Ensure high availability, performance, backup, recovery, and disaster readiness.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and ISO standards.
- Provide technical leadership and support audits, change management, and incident resolution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.
- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot database performance.
- Manage database security, access control, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Support change management, incident response, and root cause analysis.
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and audit records.
- Collaborate with IT teams and mentor junior staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5–8 years of database administration experience.
- Strong expertise in database security, performance tuning, high availability, and backup/recovery.
- Proficiency in Linux/Windows administration, PowerShell, Bash, and automation/scripting.
- Experience in ISO-compliant environments is an advantage.
Preferred
- Experience with Azure SQL, AWS RDS, or Google Cloud SQL.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Relevant database or system administration certifications.
